A Personal "Career Development" Operations Manual


Your Behavior Style . . . This report will provide you with an understanding of your work behavior style. You will identify your natural behavior that you bring to your job. How you would naturally choose to do the job. The closer the behavioral demands of a job match your natural behavior, the more you will enjoy doing most of the duties and responsibilities of the job.

Your Personal Strengths . . . This report identifies the specific talents and behavior YOU brings to the job. You have an opportunity to identify your role in the organization. The organization can develop a system to capitalize on you specific value to the organization and make you an integral part of the team.

Your Basic Needs . . . This analysis will identify some needs which must be met in order for you to perform at an optimum level. Some of your needs you can satisfy. Some of your needs management must satisfy. It is very difficult for you to be motivated if your basic needs have not been satisfied. You and your leader can use this information to develop strategies for satisfying your needs.


Your Present Wants . . . This analysis will provide a list of your current wants. You are motivated by the things you want. When your wants are satisfied they will no longer motivate you. You and your leader can use this information to develop strategies for satisfying your wants. Professional Career Strategies that will motivate you.

Your Ideal Environment . . . This analysis identifies the ideal work environment for your unique natural behavior style. If your natural behavioral style includes limited flexibility you will experience some discomfort working in any job not described in this analysis. If your natural behavior style includes a lot of flexibility, your will use your intelligence to modify your behavior to be more comfortable in different environments. You and your leader can use this section to identify specific duties and responsibilities that you enjoy and also those that create frustration. You can develop strategies for success in a variety of situations.

Strengths and Weaknesses . . . This analysis develops a list of strengths and weaknesses associated with your natural behavior style. A strength of your natural behavior can become a weakness if you overuse that strength. For example, if you are very aggressive in your problem solving, too much aggressiveness may scare some of your team members away from assisting your. You and your leader can use this list to develop strategies to maximize your productivity consistent with your strengths and weaknesses.

Job Indicator - The Best Job For Your Style . . . Research suggests that over fifty percent of the people in the western world are in the wrong job. One reason may be that many employers are not skilled in selecting people. They tend to place too much emphasis on education, skills, and training. In doing so, they neglect to look at the total person. A person's behavior is equally as important as experience and education. This report will match your natural behavior to a list of jobs, specifically, jobs for which you have a natural behavioral match up and those which would not place you under undue stress. The closer the behavioral demands of a job match your natural behavior, the more you will enjoy doing most of the duties and responsibilities of the job. We have researched over six hundred jobs and determined the behavioral requirements for each. The jobs researched account for 98% of the work force. Use your job indicator list to expand your horizons on the type of job you would enjoy. Mark the jobs in which you have an interest. To discover more about the job refer to the Dictionary of Occupational Titles (DOT). Most libraries have a DOT book. It is available on the Internet. If you didn't find your dream job on the list don't be disappointed. You can still do the job. However, be prepared to experience some stress. If you are willing to pay the price for success you probably can succeed in any job. However, success and job satisfaction come easier the closer the job matches your natural behavioral style.
