Insights A Personal "Relationship Insights" Operations ManualOur ability to interact effectively with people may be the difference between success or failure. Effective interaction starts with an accurate perception of ourselves. Over the years you have built your self-perception on information received from others. This report was designed to quantify information on how you see yourself. How you use this information will be directly related to your success in significantly improving your personal relationships. This report identifies key areas for improving interpersonal relationships. Identify the statements which are most important to you. Discuss why you feel they are important with the person who you are interested in developing a more effective relationship. Remember, effective communication requires commitment. General Statements . . . Based on your responses to the instrument, this analysis has selected general statements to provide you with a broad overview understanding of your natural behavioral style. The statements identify the natural sensual behavior you bring to an interpersonal relationship. Current Wants . . . This analysis was produced by analyzing your wants. You are motivated and influenced by the things that you want. Wants that you have satisfied, will no longer be your motivator. Identify your current "wants." Periodically review this analysis to identify new "wants" and satisfied former wants. Relationship Strengths . . . This analysis identifies specific talents and behavior that you bring to a personal relationship. Socially, we need people who have different strengths to offer. Develop strategies to share your thoughts, ideas and feelings about your relationship strengths. Keys To Effective Communication . . . You are aware of and sensitive to the ways with which you prefer to be communicated. You will find this section to be extremely accurate and important for enhanced interpersonal communication. This analysis provides other people with a list of things "To Do" when communicating with you. You and your leader can develop strategies that you can share with people that communicate with you frequently. Barriers To Effective Communication . . . Just as valuable are things "Not To Do" when communicating with you. These methods of communication can result in frustration or reduced performance. By sharing this information you can negotiate an effective communication system. Hindering Factors . . . This is an analysis of possible hindering factors with regard to relationships. You and your leader can use this analysis to develop strategies for adapting your interactive behavior to improve social interaction and relationship effectiveness. |
