A Personal "Team Development" Operations Manual



Based on your responses to this instrument, the analysis will identify your your natural behavior style. A behavior style that describes the manner in which you would naturally choose to perform the job. You and your leader can use this information to develope strategies for effectively working with other members of the team.

Work Characteristics . . . Based on your responses to the instrument, this analysis identifies what behavior style that you perceive the current work environment is requiring for you to be successful.

Value to the Team . . . Based on your responses to the instrument, this analysis identifies the value that your unique natural behavior style brings to the team. You and your leader can use this analysis to develop strategies for using your natural style mor productively.

Effective Communication . . . You are aware of and sensitive to the ways with which you prefer to be communicated. You will find this section to be extremely accurate and important for enhanced interpersonal communication. This analysis provides other people with a list of things "To Do" when communicating with you. You and your leader can develop strategies that you can share with people that communicate with you frequently.

Less than Effective Communication . . . Just as valuable are things "Not To Do" when communicating with you. These methods of communication can result in frustration or reduced performance. By sharing this information you can negotiate an effective communication system.

Communications Tips . . . This analysis provides suggestions on methods which will improve your communications with other people. The tips include a brief description of the typical people with which you may interact. By adapting to the communication style desired by other person, you will become more effective in your communications with them. You will have to practice some flexibility in varying your communication style with others who may be different from you. This flexibility and the ability to interpret the needs of others is the mark of a superior communicator.

Team Effectiveness Factors . . . Your behavioral work style may or may not be compatible with other team members. Each team member brings their own strengths and weaknesses. This analysis identifies the strengths and weaknesses of your behavior style. Your and your leader can develop strategies for sharing this information with other team members. Remember, a strength can turn into a weakness if overextended.

Perceptions . . . Your behavior and feelings are quickly telegraphed to others. This analysis provides information on your self-perception and how, under certain conditions, others may perceive your behavior. You and your leader can use this information to develop strategies that will empower you to project the image that will result in effective interactions with other team members.
